| Frequently Asked Questions |
- What exactly is a Ghost?
Firstly there is thought to be more than one type of ghost or spirit that people encounter here on Earth. We have set forth a set of definitions that conform to a standard set out by other paranormal investigtive groups. Semantics play a great role in the scientific process. We firmly believe that analysis starts with standard and commonly used definitions shared amongst different authorities in the field. However, a ghost can be generalized as the disembodied spirit of a living being or an imprint left behind in history from a powerful event.
- I suspect my property may be haunted. What should I do?
We have written a brief article on this topic that can be found in the articles section of the website.
- Is it possible to detect and subsequently document spirits where I live?
Yes, in fact we often encourage people to seek out knowledge and gain an understanding of paranormal experiences they may have in their home. We do not try to provoke you into going out and purchasing expensive equipment or try to pursuade you into inviting a psychic medium into your home. We have an article on common techniques paranormal investigators use when they conduct their investigations at a site. If that doesn't satisfy you, we encourage you to check out this article by Matthew Didier.
- I heard a rumour that _____ is haunted. What can you tell me about it?
Chances are that if something is in fact considered haunted, one of the several Alberta based research groups has probably heard about it. You can find links to their websites from [HAB] and check with them.
